Ceremony Accommodations refers to the lodging provided to guests for the duration of an ECC retreat — typically shared or private rooms at the retreat center, arranged to keep participants close to the maloca and to one another. The intention behind the accommodations is simplicity rather than luxury: comfortable enough to allow real rest, but uncluttered enough to keep attention on the spiritual work of the retreat.
Because ceremony can be physically and emotionally demanding, accommodations are also chosen with practical considerations in mind — easy access to restrooms and a quiet space to rest — so guests can pace themselves between ceremonies and the rest of the retreat schedule.
