Elder Circle

The elder circle is made up of the most senior members of Earth Connection Community's ceremonial community — those who carry the accumulated wisdom of many years of ceremonial practice and long relationship with the community's spiritual life. Elders are recognized not by age alone but by the depth and duration of their spiritual commitment.

Members of the elder circle offer guidance and continuity to the broader community. They hold institutional memory of the community's history and values, provide counsel to facilitators and to newer members navigating their own spiritual path, and help ensure that the community's traditions are carried forward with integrity as the community grows and changes.

The elder circle's role is one of spiritual guidance and presence rather than day-to-day operational authority. Its members model what a long-term, faithful relationship with ceremonial practice can look like, and their steadiness offers reassurance to a community built around a practice that asks a great deal of trust from those who take part in it.
